I  was calling preachers last week about AUTOMATED CHURCH PROSPECTING and got some very strange answers.  One man said his church had decided to go a different way.  Another said someone in his church, an elderly woman, thought that people would be offended at phone calls coming to their home about anything having to do with the church.  I got to thinking about some of the excuses and compared that with those pastors who have had success with our system and I began to think about what does it take to stop someone from winning all the people that they can in their city.  I have preachers say that they need to ask the deacons.  Others want to vote on it at the business meeting.  Others say that they don’t want to offend anyone in the neighborhood.  So I thought I would ask some questions myself and you tell me if you would consult the deacons, the business meeting, or if you think someone would be offended.

  1. Do you consult the deacons when you go door knocking?
  2. Do you ask the members what you should preach on Sunday?
  3. Do you ask the members how to pray and read your Bible?
  4. Do you ask them  if you should preach against sin?
  5. How about asking them if you should preach against cigarettes?
  6. Do you ask them if you can preach against booze?
  7. Do you ask them if you can preach against drugs.
  8. Do you ask them if you can preach against immorality?
  9. Do you ask them if you can preach against Sin?
  10. Do you ask them if you should preach about having a happy Marriage?
  11. Do you ask them if you should preach on tithing?
  12. Do you ask them if you should preach against evils in the world?
  13. Do you ask them if you should visit the sick?
  14. Do you ask them if you should pray for those that  need prayer?
  15. Do you ask them if you should visit the hospitals?
  16. Do you ask them if you can preach a funeral?
  17. Do you ask them if you can perform a wedding?
  18. Do you ask them if you can have the deacons take up an offering?
  19. Do you ask them what kind of car to drive?
  20. Do you ask them what to eat?
  21. Do you ask them what kind of clothes to wear?
  22. Do you ask them how to raise your children?
  23. Do you ask them what to teach for Sunday School or on Wednesday Bible Study?
  24. Do you ask them if you can pass out tracks?
  25. Do you ask them if you can call a visitor on the phone?

You will probably answer NO!  to all of these questions.  If that is the case, THEN WHY WOULD YOU ASK THE CHURCH ABOUT A NEW INVENTION FOR SOUL-WINNING that will help your church grow and prosper?  I read this from Spurgeon’s Morning and Evening daily devotion and I was shocked that Spurgeon actually said, “The world is constantly inventing; genius serves all the purposes of human desire: cannot faith invent too, and reach by some new means the outcasts who lie perishing around us?  I thought, THAT IS JUST WHAT AUTOMATED CHURCH PROSPECTING IS!  Read this devotional challenge from Charles Spurgeon and ask yourself the question, “AM I WILLING TO REMOVE A ROOF JUST GO GET SOMEONE TO THE SAVIOR?”  Spurgeon lived over 100 years ago and I am confident that he would have used this system.  Read his words here:

09/07/2014 – Spurgeon

“And when they could not come nigh unto him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay.” — Mark 2:4

“Faith is full of inventions. The house was full, a crowd blocked up the door, but faith found a way of getting at the Lord and placing the palsied man before him. If we cannot get sinners where Jesus is by ordinary methods we must use extraordinary ones. It seems, according to Luke 5:19, that a tiling had to be removed, which would make dust and cause a measure of danger to those below, but where the case is very urgent we must not mind running some risks and shocking some proprieties. Jesus was there to heal, and therefore fall what might, faith ventured all so that her poor paralysed charge might have his sins forgiven. O that we had more daring faith among us! Cannot we, dear reader, seek it this morning for ourselves and for our fellow-workers, and will we not try to-day to perform some gallant act for the love of souls and the glory of the Lord.

“The world is constantly inventing; genius serves all the purposes of human desire: cannot faith invent too, and reach by some new means the outcasts who lie perishing around us? It was the presence of Jesus which excited victorious courage in the four bearers of the palsied man: is not the Lord among us now? Have we seen his face for ourselves this morning? Have we felt his healing power in our own souls? If so, then through door, through window, or through roof, let us, breaking through all impediments, labour to bring poor souls to Jesus. All means are good and decorous when faith and love are truly set on winning souls. If hunger for bread can break through stone walls, surely hunger for souls is not to be hindered in its efforts. O Lord, make us quick to suggest methods of reaching thy poor sin-sick ones, and bold to carry them out at all hazards.”

I wonder what your church would have said about removing the roof to get someone to the Savior.  Would they need to vote to take off the roof?  Would the deacons be mad at the pastor for removing the roof?  Would the members be offended at all the dust falling on them from the ceiling above?  Would they tell Jesus to say something and tell those up on the roof to quit ruining the building?  Would it cause a church split?  Would someone in the neighborhood be upset that the value of their home would be ruined because the house next door has a hole in the roof so a sick man could be let down?  Would they have called a meeting to decide if the pastor has the right to make the decision to do something that would get this man saved?

I have been wondering!  WHERE IS THE LEADERSHIP IN AMERICA?  No one ever asked the neighborhood if a church could go soul-winning.  No one ever asked the neighborhood if they could run buses.  No one ever asked if a church or a pastor could visit a hospital or pray for the sick.  So just answer me one question:  WHY DOES A PASTOR NEED TO ASK ANYONE IF HE IS ALLOWED TO DO WHATEVER IT TAKES TO GET MORE PEOPLE SAVED THAN THEY EVER DID BEFORE?  The Bible says QUIT YOU LIKE MEN, BE STRONG!  If you are a pastor and can’t do what it takes to win your area to Christ, YOU EITHER NEED TO BECOME A MAN OR GO WHERE YOU WON’T BE AFRAID OF THE CONGREGATION, THE WIDOWS, THE DEACONS OR THE NEIGHBORS.

We have pastors that paid with their own credit card.  One pastor paid with his wife’s card.  Another pastor had a deacon that loved it so much that he bought the system for the pastor.  We have a pastor that bought this for reaching drug users. We have dozens of others that have the exact same story.  I can tell you right now that every excuse I have heard for not buying this system is not really an excuse at all but a cop-out on the responsibility of being a pastor and reaching your city for Jesus.  How can you beat the price?  We have a charge of only $195 which includes a database worth over $100,000 that we buy with the money from your purchase.  There is no monthly payment and the calls are a penny a call.  HOW CAN ANYONE IN THEIR RIGHT MIND SAY NO TO THE NEWEST INVENTION THAT I CAN GUARANTEE THAT CHARLES SPURGEON WOULD USE TO REACH HIS CITY FOR JESUS IF HE WERE ALIVE TODAY?  I can guarantee you that Satan is using every new invention to send souls to hell, T.V., Internet, Cell Phones, iPads, even voice broadcasting for other useless purposes.  WHY CAN’T A CHURCH USE THE TECHNOLOGY TO REACH PEOPLE FOR JESUS CHRIST IN THEIR OWN CITY.  Wake up Preacher!  IS THERE NOT A CAUSE?
